Shakti Yoga is where it's at for yoga in Dover, Delaware. It is a welcoming and loving environment full of knowledgeable and capable instructors. The owner Ruby does a great job making this studio into a community. I've had a great time attending their yearly yoga festival "ohmfest" 2 years in a row now and enjoy popping in for any of their variety classes and events when possible.

Shakti Yoga is an incredible experience! All of the instructors are very helpful during the practice in making sure we are getting the most out of our experience. I immediately feel relaxed and restored each time I leave a session! A drop in if you’re in Dover is a MUST at this location!

Beginner Hatha Yoga
Wednesday 6:00pm
Beginner Hatha Yoga is ideal for most beginner yoga students. (Please speak with your doctor first). All levels of practice are welcomed and will be able to play their own edge in this Beginner Hatha Yoga practice. Hatha Yoga is practiced at a slower pace. Hatha yoga incorporates controlled breath, stretched and movements to create the ideal beginner yoga class. The difference between Hatha yoga and Vinyasa yoga is the "flow" aspect of the practice. Vinyasa focuses connecting breath to movement, creating a more heat generating practice. This class will teach students about the foundations of physical yoga (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and mediation (dhyana) in a fun and empowering environment. This is the best class for beginner students. Beginner Hatha Yoga class is about 45 minutes of yoga pose practice & 15 minutes of meditation. Please book online to save your space. Please arrive 5-10 early to set up. Bring a yoga mat, sweat towel and bottle of water. No Yoga Experience is required. If you are a beginner you may also consider Mindful Vinyasa Class on Tuesday + Thursday 9:00am or Beginner Vinyasa Yoga on Tuesday at 4:30pm.
Beginner Vinyasa Yoga

In Beginner Vinyasa Yoga students will learn the basics of Vinyasa Yoga. Vinyasa Yoga is often referred to as 'flow yoga'. After warming up the body with stationary poses, students will flow from pose to pose, using their breath as their guide. Students will build strength, balance, stamina and mind-body awareness in this empowering Vinyasa Yoga class. This heat generating yoga class is about 50 minutes of Beginner Friendly Asana, poses & 10 minutes of Dhyana, meditation. Please book online to save your space. Please arrive 5-10 early to set up. Bring a yoga mat, sweat towel and bottle of water. No Yoga Experience is required. This class is accessible to most students. If you are a beginner you may also consider Mindful Vinyasa Class on Tuesday + Thursday 9:00am or Beginner Hatha Yoga on Wednesday at 6:00pm.
Warm Restorative Flow

Warm Restorative Yoga is a warm, gentle, relaxing and slow paced yoga practice that incorporates flowing and static yoga poses with breath work and meditation. Get the best of both yoga worlds in this one hour practice. Start with intentional breath work, flow through some fluid yoga poses, then layer on static yoga pose stretches with the support of yoga props like blocks, bolsters and blankets. Finish the experience with yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is a powerful relaxation technique that encourages the practitioner to dive deep into their SELF: this systematic meditation takes you through the 'pancha maya kosha' (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness. Ideal for all students. Encouraged for anyone dealing with mental stress. Props provided for in studio class. Please arrive 5-10 early to set up. Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation

A gentle, relaxing and restful yoga practice. Students hold yoga poses for 2-4 minutes with the support of yoga props like blocks, bolsters and blankets. Restorative yoga places more emphasis on the meditative aspect of the yoga practice. Enjoy 45-50 minutes of yoga gentle movement and 10-15 minutes of guided meditation. Ideal for all students. Vinyasa Flow

Mindful Vinyasa Yoga

This enchanting yoga class combines mindful and gentle movement, restful yoga poses and meditation. This mindful vinyasa flow is designed to prepare your body, mind and soul for the demands of your day. This class is ideal for all students. Please arrive 5-10 early to set up. Power Yoga

Power Yoga is a fitness based yoga class that encourages students to play their edge. This heat building practice will create physical and mental strength, stamina, resilience and awareness. Power Yoga blends together yoga poses, meditation and self inquiry to empower students and leave them feeling strong and confident. Yoga experience Is encouraged for this class. Warm Mindful Vinyasa Yoga

This warm and mindful yoga class combines gentle movement, restful poses and meditation. To combat the cold weather, the heat will be adjusted to 76 degrees in the yoga space. This mindful vinyasa class is designed to prepare your body, mind and soul for the demands of your day. This class is ideal for all students. Please bring a bottle of water, a sweat towel and yoga mat for practice. All props will be provided for in studio class.
Hot Yoga

We get HOT & SWEATY in this class! Hot Yoga will be a Vinyasa style practice in a room heated to 85 degrees. Other then just feeling awesome, hot yoga has a list of benefits: reduces stress, detoxifies the body, increases flexibility, helps with weight loss & management and can aid in building mental resilience. This class is for experienced students only. Please consult a doctor before attending a hot yoga class. Please bring a yoga mat, a sweat towel and a bottle of water. Warm Power Yoga

Sweat with intention in this 60 minute power yoga practice. This dynamic asana practice will incorporate vinyasa flow yoga, power yoga poses and yoga nidra. This class will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday mornings to give our work from home & work in home parents an opportunity to drop the kids off to school and have plenty of time to get to the studio. Please bring a yoga mat, sweat towel and open heart.

Low Hammock Aerial + Guided Meditation

Stretch, relax and unwind in this beginner friendly, low hammock aerial yoga class with guided meditation. Experience a gentle & restorative decompression of your spine with the support of the aerial hammock. Come prepared for 90 minutes of pure magic. Please remove all jewelry, wear a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt & wear socks. Arrive 15 mins early to get your hammock set up.
Aerial Yoga with Meditation

Enjoy an aerial yoga class suitable for both beginners and those with aerial experience. Practice traditional yoga poses in an aerial hammock suspended from the ceiling. Yes; you will go upside down in this class! Amy will guide you on how to safely invert in the hammock. Round out the practice with a guided meditation and savasana resting in the hammock. An evening of pure magic! Please remove all jewelry, wear a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt & wear socks. Arrive 15 mins early to get your hammock set up.
Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra

Yin yoga is a slow paced yoga practice. Poses are held for longer periods of time and yoga props are often used for support. Ideal for anyone you desires to strengthen their meditation practice or even balance a rigorous work out routine.

Join The Shakti Yoga Tribe at Harvest Ridge for Yoga and Wine. Enjoy a one hour gentle yoga flow, followed up with a refreshing glass of cider or wine served by Harvest Ridge Staff. Must be 21 years or older , with a valid ID to attend. Class will begin at 10:45AM. Weather will determine if we practice outside or inside. Drinks will be served after class. Come ready for a good time. Please bring your own yoga mat, beach towel (its nice to have a towel or blanket under your mat when practicing outside), bug spray (for outside) and a bottle of water.

Teen Yoga
Being a teenager is not easy. Between the physical changes, pressure to fit in, expectations to be successful and learning authenticity in a world that is constantly telling you who to be, is challenging. In this 45 minute Teen Yoga class students will learn breathing exercises, yoga poses, mindfulness practices and meditation techniques to help teens navigate this uncomfortable time in their lives. This class is for teens 13-17 years old. All parents must complete a liability waiver for their child.
This class is led by Lisa Enright.
In addition to being a yoga instructor, Lisa is an educator. Her yoga teacher training focused on trauma informed practices and certified her as a Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator.
