Intro To Shamanism

Shamanism invites direct connection with Spirit in order to facilitate healing, expand awareness, and enter into relationship with the Great Mystery.  Using rhythmic drumming, rattling, and chant, it is possible to shift out of ordinary consciousness into an expanded state of awareness, and enter into trance state in order to connect with guides, ancestors, animal/plant/elemental spirits, and other benevolent allies.  Appropriate for both those new to exploring shamanism, as well as those with experience, this gently guided session provides the opportunity for participants to enter into the trance state with intention; access guidance, protection, knowledge, and healing energy directly; and bring the gifts of the journey back into daily life to continue guiding them on their spiritual path. This timeless practice will be led by the amazing Angela Blueskies of West Virginia. Angela is a beautiful and creative being with a magical soul and strong connection to the metaphysical world. Angela Blueskies is an Initiate of the Q’ero healing tradition from the high Andes Mountains, and has journeyed to Peru since 2005 to learn directly from shamans, mentors, healers, and medicine men and women. As an Energy Medicine practitioner, she holds space for the healing and awakening of all those who are called to the path, no matter where they are on the journey. She is co-founder of Rumi Wasi Sanctuary in Harpers Ferry, WV, and The Heart of the Mother Retreats in Peru and Costa Rica. She is also well known as a visionary musician and Sound Medicine practitioner, and incorporates sacred sound into all her healing work.  Angela visions a world where people live in balance and harmony with themselves, with each other, and with the natural world.
